چکیده

The measurement of microalbuminuria in diabetics is now clinically important as a predictor of later overt clinical proteinuria, reflecting advanced diabetic nephropathy [l-3]. Urine albumin assays suitable for routine use in the clinical laboratory are therefore important. Measurement of microalbuminuria by current techniques including immunodiffusion [4] and electroimmunoassay [5] are time-consuming and the radioimmunoassays reported to date are cumbersome and difficult to set up [6,7]. This paper describes a radioimmunoassay for urinary albumin using a simple radioiodination technique and a solid phase second antibody separation. This sensitive and precise assay has been developed using commercially available reagents and is suitable for routine laboratory use.

3H and 125I radioimmunoassays of haloperidol compared with fluoroimmunoassay involving antibody coupled to magnetizable solid phase.

Radioimmunoassays for haloperidol are described, involving use of tritium- or 125I-labeled drug or tritium-labeled spiroperidol, and a rabbit antiserum to a drug/bovine serum albumin conjugate. The 125I-labeled drug was prepared by the Chloramine T iodination technique. A fluoroimmunoassay for haloperidol is also described in which the antiserum is coupled to magnetizable solid-phase medium, an...

DEVELOPMENT OF A SIMPLE AND SENSITIVE ENZYME- LINKED IMMUNOSORBENT ASSAY (ELISA) FOR CLINICAL MEASUREMENT OF TESTOSTERONE USING PENICILLINASE AS LABEL

An enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay using a homologous combination of antiserum raised against testosterone-3-0-carboxymethyloxime-bovine serum albumin (T-3-0-CMO-BSA ) and penicillinase-labelled T-3-0-CMO was developed. This assay was utilized to measure testosterone in serum samples of male and female subjects. The sensitivity of the assay is 50pg/well and the antibody developed crossrea...

Production and Characterization of Anti-LH Polyclonal Antibodies for Establishment of Sepharose Solid Phase Radioimmunoassay

The present study was designed to achieve the production and characterization of polyclonal antibody of luteinizing hormone (AntiLH) as a basic component of LH radioimmunoassay (RIA). The main objective was to improve the immunogenicity of LH by conjugation of LH with bovine serum albumin (LH: BSA) as a protein carrier using Ethyl dimethylaminopropyl Carbodiimide (ECDI). Production of Anti-LH w...

Iodination of morphine and dihydromorphine, as related to radioimmunoassay.

Direct iodination of morphine or dihydromorphine with iodine-125 results in products that bind to antibody raised by immunization of animals with a 3-O-carboxymethylmorphine/bovine serum albumin immunogen. Iodination of morphine or dihydromorphine with iodine-127 under identical conditions failed to yield these immunologically active products, suggesting that the results obtained with iodine-12...

A fully automated solid-phase radioimmunoassay for triiodothyronine.

We report the first solid-phase radioimmunoassay for triiodothyronine with use of antibody-coated tubes, which is designed specifically for the fully automated radioimmunoassay instrument, Micromedic Systems' "Concept 4 Automatic Radioassay." Antisera to triiodothyropropionic acid/bovine serum albumin were raised in rabbits, purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation, and coated onto polypropyl...
